General Liability Information

All incidents involving non-employee injury or personal property damage, including incidents due to any alleged university negligence, should be reported within 24 hours of the incident date. These reports allow Risk Management to identify health, safety, or security issues for investigation(s) and provide claim reporting instructions.

Some examples include:

• Damage to items owned by a student
• Student or visitor falls on a sidewalk, stairs, or parking lot
• Near misses that occur on UT property

This portal should not be used for any university-owned, or leased, property (buildings, electronics, equipment, or contents).
